Description of the project:
Narva Pähklimäe Gümnaasium is taking part in an international project “Are We Really Social with Social Media?” – AWESOME. The project is financed in the frames of Erasmus+ project KA229 in the period from 2019 to 2021.
There are 6 partners in the project: educational establishments: from Turkey – the leading partner of the project Muğla Şehit Ziya İlhan Dağdaş Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi and a partner school Zübeyde Hanim Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi; from Estonia - Narva Pähklimäe Gümnaasium; from Latvia - Daugavpils 16.Vidusskola; from Poland - Liceum Ogolnoksztalcace nr 20 w Poznaniu, and from Croatia - XI. Gimnazija.
Aims of the project:
1. To create awareness of the target group about the dangers of excessive use and misuse of social networks
2. To improve digital competences of the target group
3. To explore alternative ways of spending spare time effectively
The participants of the project with increase their awareness through active involvement in the preparation of home assignments and international cooperation.
Key words of the project: social networks, active life-style, gender equality, cooperation.
Objectives of the project:
1. Development of digital skills of the students using modern technologies
2. Development of the students'critical thinking through project activities
3. Exploration of new sources for motivation of female students to study information technology
4. Assisting teachers in finding effective pratical ways for battling «phone addiction» among students
5. Creation of collaborative relations with other partner-schools, supporting equality, tolerance, and team-work
